January 21, 2010 I had 16 views.
I have noticed that in the time that I have been writing, I have mentioned my warlock Tutunkommon, theoretically my main, twice. Once was in but the most passing way. I talked a bit about my Druid, Imhoughtep, moderately. I have drooled on about my multi-boxing shamans quite a bit recently.
I find myself in the same place I was last spring. WoW has turned grind-ey and non-fun. Last year, I took the summer off and played with my RC airplanes. Did some work on writing my own game, and did whatever else caught my fancy.
This year, the siren song of other activities once again beckons to me. I may design some electronic goodies, do some extremely low-level programming (think 8-bit microcontroller assembly, for those that know what that means), work on writing a book, who knows. The bottom line is this: Of my 4 accounts, one expires Mar 7, the next Apr 6, the third on May 10, and the fourth sometime in June. None of these are scheduled to be renewed at this time.
Last fall, I was ready to jump back in again and start playing. Maybe that will be the case this time as well. In the meantime, my oldest son, less than 4 weeks from being 18, has suggested we reinstall Starcraft and Mechwarrior 4 to do some head to head gaming instead. Maybe even see if Freespace has a multiplayer option.
I agree with him completely.
